Video Class - Yoga for All

The course includes a 70 minute lesson and a series of short video tutorials of individual postures.

Throughout the lesson I take time to clearly explain each and every movement, as well as alternative options for different body types and experience levels.

I will guide you through postures that will maintain the natural range of motion of the body. Working from the inside to the outside. Setting up the skeleton, the framework of the body, correctly and then allowing all the soft tissue to work properly. Clear precise instructions will help you set up a posture and then through the breath move slowly, carefully and correctly into it.

I cannot complement you enough on this course, it is second to none. It’s streets ahead of other offerings. I believe I appreciate and enjoy it so much because I have found from practicing yoga outside your studio, that 1.) your dedication to practice yoga safely, modifying the yoga practice to build strength and avoid injury, is a rarity. 2.) your experience, depth of knowledge, commitment to continuous personal training and development is unmatched in most yoga instructors. You have created something very special.

I just completed my first class and it was marvellous. The instructions are clear and concise, it was the next best thing to being in the studio. Needless to say, I have an awful lot of work to do to get my weight and fitness levels back, but I was delighted for the guidance from you. Well done. It’s my daily go to from now on

I signed up for the Hot Yoga Athlone new online Class and it is just excellent. Having practiced Hot Yoga with Tricia Fleming for the last few years and with the current restrictions I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to practice my yoga at home to a full class suitable for all levels. The music in the back ground and excellent instruction allows you to switch off from the outside world and concentrate on working with your breath, body and movement. I would highly recommend signing up for the class and have your daily flow with you when ever and where ever you wish to practice. Well done Tricia so well put together.

At Hot Yoga Athlone our motto is ‘Yoga is for every body, but we bend it for you!’. When we say this, we mean that yoga is for every body. Our class is for all body types, regardless of size, shape, age, experience and so on.

In this world of social media we are inundated with photos and videos of people with the ‘perfect’ bodies in various impressive yoga poses. It can be a little daunting and even off putting for those of us with not so ‘perfect’ body types.  Bodies that bear the scars and injuries of life. Normal bodies with all those lumps and bumps that make us who we are.

I am 52 years old and am riddled with injuries from my time training horses. Those injuries are what introduced me to yoga and with consistent practice I keep those injuries at bay. In the beginning however, as I started to do regular practice, I believed I should always be pushing myself as far as possible. This resulted in my injuries returning because I did not listen to my body when it needed to take things slower. Through research, trial and error I realised the old saying ‘less is more’ was applicable in yoga. Do less but do it right.
